hey

finally i am blogging i told Sophie one time too many over the weekend that yesterday was the begining of the rest of my life it marked the eight month anniversary of our marriage and the first sunday after i had sent off the application to the ANU i ask GOD to favor me by giving me a full scholarship to commence a phd there next july i hope to study the effect of print technology on the malay mind the ways malay think malay conciousness i am still searching for a good interpretive handle on this subject i hope to blog my thoughts and reflections on this subject daily to record my journey with these questions this is a more specific way to begin an inquiry on the impact of print technology on human conciousness my conciousness in particular it will be a great way to add further cultural stream to biblical studies as most scholars and chistian institutions christian interpretive communities approach the inscriptions of a manuscript culture as if it were the produce of a print literate culture appraoching paratactical material with analytical assumptions so the journey begins stop by with a comment thought or whatever you wish keep it real though i also hope to use all opportunities in life from here on to develop my authentic self so as to present my faith as helpfully as possible to my neighbours so as to bring glory to HIS name and for the furtherance of his kingdom i have tried to blog today with the barest minimum of modern grammatical conventions save capitalizing s in Sophie  and all of GOD and HIM to the best of my knowledge shorn of my indulgences this is how some manuscripts read even then i am sure traces of analyticalism like coordinating and subordinating tendencies are present in my writing as i surely am a child of such modern tendencies but ill leave that to another time i would like to begin this journey by writing in a manner I am not used to but maybe reminiscent of the following

jewish writing from a long time ago maybe eight to ten centuries ago

malay writing from two hundred to three hundred years ago
